Zimbabwe rhinos not Immune

In the last couple of years Zimbabwe has been relatively free from excessive poaching, which has plagued South Africa with only a few incidences of poaching each year. However since the beginning of 2015 black rhino poaching has risen in Zimbabwe and five black rhinos killed in the last two months.

This mother and calf, known as Amai and Tamba were the victim of crude cyanide poisoning in Chipinge Safari Area.

This male was shot several times in Save Valley Conservancy in February and later died of his wounds. His horn was recovered and handed to authorities.
